A few hundred dollars can easily buy you a lovely, well-made wardrobe that will be a part of your home for many years. Of course, for those with a larger budget, furnishings that are more extravagant are certainly available. The amount of money that you spend should not be the only consideration in your decision. Look at how a piece is made, the sturdiness of the materials, the way that the elements are fitted together. Are the joints simply glued or is there a tongue and groove process used? You can estimate how well a wardrobe will withstand the years by the way that it is constructed. If you plan to keep the piece for a long time, you may want to spend a bit extra right now. If you plan to redecorate or refurnish often, then you will be able to get by with a less expensive piece.
